GuZhen(3rdL),aresearcherwiththeCollegeofPharmaceuticalSciencesofZhejiangUniversity,discussesresearchissueswithhisteammembersatalaboratoryinZhejiangUniversity,Hangzhou,eastChina'sZhejiangProvince,Feb.26,2024.(ZhejiangUniversity/HandoutviaXinhua)HANGZHOU,March19(Xinhua)--AChineseresearchteamhasusedfreeze-driedlymphnodestoimprovethecurativeeffectofanti-tumordrugs,accordingtoZhejiangUniversity.Celldrugsareintheascendantastumortargetedtherapyinrecentyears.Chimericantigenreceptor(CAR)Tcellswhichcanaccuratelyidentifyandeliminatetumorcellsatfixedpointshavebeensynthesizedandusedintheclinicaltreatmentofhematologicaltumors.However,ithasbeenachallengetomakeCARTcellsplayalastingandefficientroleatthesiteofsolidtumors.ResearchersfromtheCollegeofPharmaceuticalSciencesofZhejiangUniversityandtheFirstAffiliatedHospitalofZhejiangUniversity'sSchoolofMedicinecameupwiththeideaofloadingCARTcellswithlymphnodesthatareoftenremovedduringtumorsurgery.Theyusefreeze-dryingtechnologytoeffectivelypreservetheporousstructureandtheactiveingredientsoflymphnodes,andusethemasamediumforstoringanddeliveringanti-tumorcelldrugs,makingthetreatmentmorepotentandlong-lasting.Theresearchteamhasverifiedthroughanimalmodelsthatthenewtechniquecaneffectivelyinhibittherecurrenceoftumorsaftersurgery,saidGuZhenwiththeCollegeofPharmaceuticalSciencesofZhejiangUniversity,oneofthecorrespondingauthorsofthestudy.ThestudyhasbeenpublishedinthejournalNatureMaterials.Editor:DisclaimerTheviewsandopinionsexpressedinthisarticlearethoseoftheauthor's,GMW.cnmakesnorepresentationsastoaccuracy,suitability,orvalidityofanyinformationonthissiteandwillnotbeliableforanyerrors,omissions,ordelaysinthisinformation.
